What we offer

Every engagement at Bright Path Therapy is anchored in rigorous assessment and clear, collaborative goal-setting.

Whether supporting a child to develop fine and gross motor skills, helping an adolescent refine executive functioning, or empowering an adult to re-engage in community life, we blend structured, research-driven frameworks with imaginative activities that resonate in real life. Progress isn’t measured solely by scores or charts; it’s celebrated every time a person gains independence, discovers a new skill or feels more confident in their daily routines.

Being a community provider, we can accomodate your needs, providing therapy at your home, school, or preferred location.

  • A Functional Capacity Assessment is a type of assessment used to evaluate an individual's ability/functional capacity to perform daily activities and tasks.

It's essentially a detailed assessment of a person's functional abilities, helping determine the level and type of support they may need to achieve their goals and live independently. Typically, an FCA will be completed prior to entry into the NDIS scheme, if someones needs change throughout their plan, or prior to a re-assessment.

Whichever the case, our occupational therapist here at Bright Path Therapy have exceptional talent in this area.

  • A Home and Living assessment is a comprehensive process used to determine eligibility for NDIS funding for home and living options. It involves evaluating a person's needs, circumstances, and goals related to their home and daily living. This assessment helps identify the most suitable living arrangements, supports, and accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible.

  • A Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessment, is a comprehensive assessment conducted by an occupational therapist to determine the level and type of support needed by an individual to live as independently as possible in their chosen place of residence. In other words, it's a way to assess an individual's functional abilities, identify their needs, and plan for their future, ensuring they can achieve their goals while maximising their independence.

  • This is a specific type of assessment used to evaluate and determine the most appropriate equipment needs for an individual with a disability to enhance their independence and daily living.

Our occupational therapists will work alongside you, evaluate your capabilities, environment, and goals to identify the specific AT products, equipment, or systems that will best support you, e.g: wheelchair, seats, bed, kitchen items, etc.

We collaborate with our clients to reduce barriers, build resilience, and promote participation in their communities. Our interventions may include skills training, environmental modifications, and support with emotional regulation, motivation, and daily structure
